AMUD

Support

Amud tells you what's different about today's davening — tachanun, hallel, ya'aleh v'yavo, tal u'matar, the omer, this week's parsha — for anyone davening without a minyan.

Common questions

Why did I not get a notification today?
Because today is ordinary. Amud only notifies you on days that actually differ. A notification every morning would be a notification you stop reading.

The zmanim look wrong for my town.
Open ⚙ Settings → Where. You can either let the app follow your phone, or type the name of a town. Below that, every zman rule is adjustable — candle lighting minutes, the degrees used for nightfall and for the end of Shabbos, and how fasts begin and end. Set them to match the luach you rely on.

My nusach says something different.
Set your nusach in ⚙ Settings — Ashkenaz, Sefard, Chabad or Edot HaMizrach. It changes the answers, not only the spelling. Where communities genuinely disagree, Amud marks the item minhag and says so rather than pretending there is one answer.

What about Shabbos, when I can't look at my phone?
That is the point of the Before Shabbos board: it arrives beforehand, with every day of the coming Shabbos or Yom Tov — including a three-day Yom Tov. Tap Print / Share to put it on the fridge.

Is it a posek?
No. It is a davening aid. If something matters, ask your rov.
